The paper talks about the role that a New York based public relations firm played in getting the United States public to support Operation Desert Strom. It covers fake news - such as a false testimony - that was used to appeal to the public.
Social Media in China is a short paper I wrote for Journalism 541. The paper addresses media in China and the topic of censorship. The topic of the related key insight is fake news but in that I also addressed censorship. This paper gives more explanation into censorship in action and government supported censorship.
Why is Fake News so Dangerous? looks into the problems fake news causes media and the public and how it gets spread. This memo also looks into how one can protect themselves against fake news.
